- The Winner: Grover Cleveland (Democrat) reclaimed the presidency with 277 electoral votes (62%).
- The Incumbent: Benjamin Harrison (Republican) received 145 electoral votes (33%).
- The Populist Surge: James B. Weaver (Populist) won 22 electoral votes (5%), carrying four states entirely (KS, CO, ID, NV) and picking up votes in North Dakota and Oregon.
- Popular Vote: Totaled 12,059,351. Cleveland won 46% (5,556,918), Harrison 43% (5,176,108), and Weaver 9% (1,041,028).
