Blue, blue everywhere. Franklin D. Roosevelt won against Herbert Hoover in 1932. As you can see, the US election map of 1932 is overwhelmingly blue. There were only a few Southern states that stayed Democratic. It’s a lopsided result reflecting the country’s desire for change amid the Great Depression.
