US Election 1956 Map

The 1956 election map is a sea of red. Dwight D. Eisenhower cruised to a second term over Adlai Stevenson. His support stretched across nearly the entire country. Only parts of the South and a few northeastern states stayed blue. Our map shows a nation comfortable with a steady hand that had guided it through the early Cold War years.
